In case you somehow weren’t aware, we love E Ink tablets and readers around here, but there are times when the best tool for the job is an honest-to-goodness tablet. Case in point: comic books. You can definitely put a dent in your digital pull box with Boox’s Tab X C, but when it comes to color fidelity and screen refresh, LCD is hard to beat. That’s why I did a double-take when I saw the Galaxy A9+ on sale for just $148.94 on Amazon.
The Galaxy A9+ is a decent budget tablet
There’s no question that the A9+ is far from being the “best” tablet out there, and its specs are outclassed by almost every other tablet Samsung makes, but what you get for $150 is pretty sweet. It starts with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with a MicroSD card slot for an additional 1 TB. If you throw another $50 down, get double memory with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (this is the model I have).

So, this isn’t going to be your go-to gaming beast, but having an 11-inch, 90 Hz tablet on hand is useful for more than just getting lost in the HoYoverse. Add a Bluetooth keyboard and you’ve got an ultra-portable laptop that’s great for keeping up with your shows or getting some writing done on the road. With the ample storage and SD card slot, you can carry around more comics and manga than you could read in a month.
Get it while the getting’s good
This deal will only be around until tomorrow, so if you want to take advantage, now’s the time. But if you miss it, don’t worry, Amazon has sales going on all the time. Just drop it in your cart, and Amazon will notify you of any big price changes.
