Last week, we saw the Epic Games Store giving away Monument Valley for free in celebration of its launch on the store. At the time, we knew Monument Valley 2 would be dropping for free this week. Lo and behold, Epic has made good on its promise. Not only can you score a free copy of the sequel on PC, but the mobile version is also packed in this freebie, for both Android and iOS. Now that’s how you do a game release.
Monument Valley 2 is a visual spectacle that shouldn’t be missed
Monument Valley 2 initially launched on iOS in mid-2017 and landed on Android a few months later. Since then, the game has been ported to a handful of platforms, most recently landing on Netflix (of all places). More or less, the game is considered a classic, one of the best puzzle games mobile has seen, and now the game is finally available on the Epic Games Store.
In celebration of today’s launch, Epic has included Monument Valley 2 in its weekly free game giveaway. This follows the launch of the first title last week, which was also given away for free. If you missed the giveaway, then you can pick up the game for its listed price, $7.99 (the same price as on the Steam listing).
What about Monument Valley 3
So far, there’s no word whether Epic Games will sell Monument Valley 3. Currently, it’s unclear whether Epic Games will complete the series, which would be a welcome sight, given that its store has already given away the first two releases. Sure, Steam carries the 3rd game for PC, but I’m no fan of incomplete series on a store, so ideally, Epic will rectify the situation in the future.

At the very least, it’s hard to complain about two free games two weeks in a row.
