Shop the best Black Friday e-reader deals with this comprehensive list

Now's the best time to pick up a new E ink tablet or two

The holidays are nearly upon us, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, Black Friday will soon ring in the Christmas shopping season. Of course, every year we start to see deals well before Black Friday officially begins, and 2025 is no different. However, unlike most websites that list page after page of Amazon deals for easy affiliate links (there are no affiliate links on the site, and there are no advertisements. Guilty Gamer isn’t monetized), we are simply listing the top e-reader deals we’ve dug up because we actually think they are deals worth checking out (refreshing, I know). So curb your skepticism and fears this holiday season, Guilty Gamer has you back with our favorite e-reader deals hand-chosen for their savings rather than their earnings.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of early deals have already popped up, so we’ve compiled a handy list of all of the best E Ink e-reader deals available right now. This means you may see more deals added to the page as Black Friday approaches, should more pop up. In other words, we’ll keep the list updated so you can easily save some cash this holiday season.

Kindle

Hardware deals

Amazon tends to be at the forefront of e-reader sales every Black Friday, and this holds true for 2025, with just about every Kindle model on sale. Whether you are looking for a base Kindle, the Kindle Paperwhite, a Kindle Colorsoft, or the Kindle Scribe, Amazon has you covered. The only Kindle not on sale for Black Friday is the unreleased Scribe Colorosft, and that’s because the device hasn’t launched yet.

What’s especially nice about Amazon’s Kindle BF deals is that they cover every model’s version. No matter if you require the Signature Edition for the Paperwhite, or the Kids Edition of the Colorsoft, each version of each model is already discounted for Black Friday. Click any of the buy buttons below to navigate to that model’s listing, and you can easily see each discounted version.

E-book deals

Amazon, as the world’s storefront, often offers a wide selection of e-book sales alongside its e-reader sales for Black Friday. This year, Amazon is offering plenty of Kindle e-books at discounted prices, from daily picks to giant deals across a range of genres. If you’re looking for cheap e-books for your Kindle, now is the best time to buy.

Kobo

For those who aren’t into the Kindle ecosystem but are still looking for excellent e-reader hardware with a worthwhile e-book store built into each device, look no further than Rakuten’s Kobo. Kobo was the first of the big three (Kindle, Nook, Kobo) to offer color e-readers to a mainstream audience with the launch of the Libre Colour, and it’s on sale right now for Black Friday. Of course, if you’re looking for a monochrome, the Elipsa 2E is not only a fine note-taking device, but it’s also very pleasing to read on, especially if you don’t require any physical page-turn buttons (a remote is coming soon for those of you who do).

E-book deals

What good is a new e-reader for the holidays without any e-books? Rakuten, of course, offers an e-book store similar to that of Amazon’s, and it’s built into every Kobo, ensuring these e-book deals are perfect for all you Kobo users out there.

Not only is there a daily e-book deal for everyone to look out for every day leading up to Black Friday, but there are also plenty more deals to explore, spanning many genres, along with price-based deals like titles under $5 or even $3. So, if you are looking to load up your new Libre Colour or Elipsa 2E, Black Friday is the best time to do so.

Boox

There are three Boox devices offered at a discount for the week of Black Friday, including the Note Max, Palma 2, and Note Air4 C. While the Note Max and Note Air4 C are the two devices advertised on Boox’s site, the Palma 2 is also discounted, perhaps thanks to the newly-launched Palma 2 Pro. But this doesn’t mean the Palma 2 is a slouch by any means, as it’s certainly a fan favorite for those who require something a bit more portable than a typical 6-inch e-reader.

reMarkable

When it comes to digital notepads, reMarkable is at the top of the list thanks to its excellent build quality and reliable syncing. Yes, syncing requires a subscription, but that is what keeps it running so reliably; it earns remarkable revenue. What’s especially nice about these Black Friday deals is that you can choose between a color and a monochrome tablet. Even better, these Black Friday bundle deals let you get a case and pen with your device while saving on a folio, no matter which model you choose.
